The source of this is Masters of the Wild 3.0E source book. Bioware partially (almost entirely) completed this class and it's hardcoded abilities. Not sure why it was never finished.
Conversion to NWN Notes
This class probably should wear an eyepatch (VFX) over their right eyes - as per the description of the class. This means while they do gain blind sight they don't become entirely blind (so ranged weapons still work etc.)
Need to confirm adding levels to this class adds to Barbarian Rage uses.
Spell abilities are:
- Follow Orders Blindly (I kinda like the second name from the 3E source so changed to it) - easy to do
- Rage - Already exists, also Swing Blindly is easy to add to the script
- Decided to this: We just have a new feat line.
- I also added that if using any of Barbarian Rage, Mighty Rage or Eye of Gruumsh Rage and you have another one that can be used up would be to increase the use of your chosen one at the cost of that other one.
- Blinding Spittle - Simple single target ranged touch feat-spell
- We've implemented this as Bioware did just with increased uses as the levels increase.
Non-active abilities:
- Blind-Fight - already exists
- Ritual Scarring - Actually already hardcoded into the game (1 per 3 levels)
- Blindsight - Already exists and is coded up for 5 feet, 10 feet and 60 feet options (latter being a monster ability).
- Sight of Gruumsh - This is not able to be added with cls_stat_xxx so would need either:
- Just grant the feats Lightning Reflexes, Iron Will and Great Fortitude - which has the added benefit of being prereqs for some Epic feats that improve them further giving it a further niche use.
- Give an effect with scripting
Went with Sight of Gruumsh providing the free feats for now.
Epic levels:
- Basically a copy of the Barbarian (bonus feat list and all). There's not as much a reason to take this class at Epic levels to be honest except maybe the additional AC (if taken to say, 30 levels of Gruumsh, you'd get +10 AC which certainly isn't nothing). Due to the need to be an "Epic Barbarian" for many of the better rage feats, the Eye itself isn't the best. But hey if they want to take tons of levels no stopping them in Overhaul.
