Summary
Prefabs are a predefined group of placeables positioned in a coherent manner.
Once you place a prefab on a map, all placeables from the prefab are grouped together and can be moved / rotated together.
Create your own prefab
- Select multiple placeables
- Right click > Group
- Give it a nice name
- This name will be used as the tag and resref of the prefab
- Disable height lock for the group
- Right click > Export group
Save it under
Program Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2/NWN2Toolset/Prefabs(should be the default folder).
- Move the
.pfbfile fromProgram Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2/NWN2Toolset/PrefabstoDocument/Neverwinter Nights 2/Override, otherwise the prefab won't appear the next time you open the toolset. - Optional: By default, the prefab has no name nor classification. You have to edit the PFB file using a GFF editor.
- tlkedit2 does not open PFB files, but you cange the prefab extension to
.gitin order to open / modify it. Don't forget to change back to.pfbwhen you're done.
