Introduction
Here was supposed to be a long and inspiring speech about how easy and respectable it is to be a NWN2 Builder, how many women, benefits and booty this title will bring you and so on.
On the realistic side of things - you will have to encounter quite a few challenges and unexpected subjects which you will have to investigate and learn.
There will be issues which you will need to study and resolve before you will be able to create something decent, something that you will be proud of.
But if you want to create your own worlds and adventures or make a solid contribution into the Vault, then it's definitely worth the effort.
Setting Up (Options)
First thing first, when you open the Toolset for the first time, the first thing you likely want to do is go to View → Options. (The word "first" has been used four times on purpose)
In General options it is recommended to Turn Off the annoying Autosave function, and develop and muscle memory to Save Your Work Manually now and then when you naturally consider it's about time to stop risking the loss of those past 5 hours of work because your government decided it's a good moment to shut down your power.
If you have a good computer, in Graphics options it is recommended to set the FarPlane to 600, RenderSize to 1280; 800, UseAreaFarPlane to False. This should give you a decent picture and view.
If you are planning to write scripts, in Script options it can be a good choice to set Font as Courier New; 10pt since it is a monospace font and it looks appealing.
