Overhaul Changes
Generally the spellbook adds some really useful utility and Hide in Plain Sight at level 8 makes it useful to advance this class further.
- Add class spell book (Wizard-like, learn spells from scrolls, ability score: Intelligence) and remove the feat spells
- Clarified Uncanny Dodge 2 allows you to resist sneak attacks from enemies in the feat description (EE built in buff)
- NWN2 improvement:
- Hide in Plain Sight
- added at level 8
We will also make sure that the spellbook for Assassins is updated with spells either just for them or very useful for them.
Spellbook
From the source it is:
- Intelligence based
- Prepares and casts like a Wizard
- Arcane Spell Failure
- Prepared spell book
- Learns from scrolls
- No arcane spell failure
Spells list from the Steam project is pretty good, possibly too good even:, but hey they're assassins why not boost them with this. Mainly it does unlock the usage of scrolls but many of these would be potions (similar cost) anyway like Haste or Invisibility.

Spells: Beginning at 1st level, an assassin gains the ability to cast a small number of arcane spells. To cast a spell, the assassin must have an Intelligence score of at least 10 + the spell's level, so an as- sassinassassin with an Intelligence of 10 or lower cannot cast these spells. Assassin bonus spells are based on Intelligence, and saving throws against these spells have a DC of 10 + spell level + the assassin's In- telligenceIntelligence modifier (if any). When the assassin gets 0 spells of a givenagiven level, such as 0 1st-level spells at 1st level, the assassin gets only bonus spells. An assassin without a bonus spell for that level cannot yet cast a spell of that level. The assassin's spell list appears below. An assassin prepares and casts spells just as a wizard does. Assassin Spell List Assassins choose their spells from the following list: 1st level—change self, detect poison, ghost sound, obscuring mist, spider climb. 2nd level—alter self, darkness, pass without trace, undetectable alignment. 3rd level—deeper darkness, invisibility, misdirection, nondetection. 4th level—dimension door, freedom of movement, improved invisi- bilityinvisibility, poison |
