...
- Mischa Waymeet the Paladin was a 4th completely cut companion. She is evidently setup as one in the module, and the voicelines have a ton of quest and discussion voices.
- Uppsala a female Frost Giant was involved in chapter 1 most likely. Possibly the polymorph potion making you into a frost giant wasn't part of the design until later when she was cut? Implied to help once items are returned. J'Nah has incomplete voicelines (buggy/cut off) that implied some further quest related to her Gnolls
- against the white dragon once her quests are finished (getting an amulet returned and finding an axe).
Interlude:
- Katriana has a full voiceset (so possibly at least temporary companion?) and cut voicelines about travelling and possibly being capturedto a new area not present in the module, and being captured at some stage (likely at that caravan area). Therefore the plot in the interlude may have been quite different/longer.
- Belphareon's heads and Archmage Leomund were present somewhere, possibly involved in finding a way into Bephareons lair
- Assam has a full voiceset and may be a temporary companionor permanent henchman; possibly was Interlude and Chapter 2, since mentions the madusa which is chapter 2 only.
Chapter 2:
- Archmage Leomund (maybe the Leomund) has a full voiceset (possibly a temporary companion?) and lots of cut voicelines and never appears in the game
- Heurodis mentions a Race to master the Heurodis mentions a Race to master the North/South/East/West winds, and dying means she gets resurrected. Some other voiced lines references the Elemental Winds too so a big cut portion there.
- Corith and Malthia Drammar would have been present since Heurodis is named., and helped with the winds race somehow
- Cskikil the Shaman of the Seatung Tribe may have been present in this chapter and wanting their mate to be rescued. Might help with the winds quest somehow.
- These two groups also mention the "four winds" needing to be mastered.

Assam Aljurdye (?) (Listen to vs_nx0assmm_050.wav) | Assam | Full | vs_nx0assmm.ssf | vs_nx0assmm | Assam. A cut NPC - or at least temporary companion? Presumably from the Interlude onwards (maybe it was once longer and not just an interlude). "Maneaters" and "Asabi" are mentioned as well as "the Madusa" so presumably went into the final chapter. Has a daughter who is also absent from all sources except voiceset (and likely portrait). Reused for PC voiceset "Human, Male, Desert Warrior". |
| Ayala | Ayala | Partial | vs_nx0ayalf.ssf | vs_nx0ayalf | Chapter 1, Ayala. Has voiced lines 50 through 60. All voiced lines are used. |
| Corith Drammar | Corith_Drammar | Partial | vs_nx0cortm.ssf | vs_nx0cortm | Has voiced lines 50 through 59. "I am Corith Drammar, High Priest of Mystra" and a variant ending with "Thank you for saving my life" Mentions a tower, and seems to be either stuck, injured or whatever outside of it (in the ruins) and a puzzle involved in it. "You stand in the ruins of the great citadel of Undrentide" means probably Interlude or Chapter 2. Also mentions Heurodis so knows about them as well. "Elf, Male, Wizard" in toolset. Seems to have a likely portrait. |
Cskikil (said out loud in vs_nx0csskf_052) | Medusa | Partial | vs_nx0csskf.ssf | vs_nx0csskf | Unused female NPC for snake/lizard-like people. Floodgate or Bioware reused this voiceset for a "Medusa" which isn't quite right since her attack lines mention the Seatung Tribe. Might be worth redoing the Medusa SSF to be just her non-specific lines or just attack noises like other monsters. Funnily enough her original voiceset line was made into "Medusa, Handmaiden" and another one added for just "Medusa". Lines 50 through 62 present so quite substantial. Cskikil is "Shaman of the Seatung Tribe". Is a healer. Has a portrait see further down. Not sure if they even have a model to be honest. Snake person of some kind? Has a mate "Tarnical" (sp?) who apparently you can rescue. Wants "the blood of our sacrifice" which is vague. "Those who once dwelled here named this city Undrentide" so either Interlude or Chapter 2. More likely before the city takes off? Or maybe stuck on it afterwards? |

| Belpheron's Construct | Belpheron_Construct | vs_nx0headm.ssf | vs_nx0headm | A golem created by Belpheron (one of three). Would obviously be Chapter 2. The toolset name "Lich, Mage" is off - it's more "Lich's Construct" since the voicelines do refer to repairing and Belpheron in the third person - odd how it was named that way. There are nice sets of voicelines suggesting all 3 need defeating. There appears some of them may be different - one being a solo head? Drogan references Belpheron in the interlude: 82885 Our enemy is a powerful sorceress by the name of Heurodis. Little is known of her personally, but we do know that she was once apprentice to the dread lich Belpheron. 82886 Belpheron had spent all of his extended lifetime learning of ancient Netheril and its artifacts, and he passed this knowledge onto his apprentices. The Harpers thought all of Belpheron's students were killed when he was. Apparently they were wrong. 82887 But now we know what this Heurodis is after: she desires to obtain the power of the ancient Netherese mages for herself. Power beyond any magic practiced since the Empire's fall. 82888 This is why she seeks the mythallar... and why she has come here. With Belpheron's knowledge, Heurodis is more than capable of attaining this goal. | |
| Heurodis | Heurodis | Partial | vs_nx0heurf.ssf | vs_nx0heurf | Our BBEG. Has voiced lines 50 through 98. I can't find all of them currently - only 050 through 066 in dialogue files, scripts and the TLK. Likely some cut content here. Of particular note is the Winds race. This may have been before the raising of the city, in the interlude maybe:
Has a lot of laughing too. And some lines for losing the Mythallar. |
| J'Nah | JNah | Partial | vs_nx0jnahf.ssf | vs_nx0jnahf vs_nx0jnah2 | J'Nah controls the Gnolls, and obviously just betrays you, no other options in the voicelines alas. Note vs_nx0jnah2 voicelines - 2 are incomplete/cut off and 1 is usable - possibly from a cutscene? Can't seem to find it in the source. All other voicelines 50 through 56 are used. |
| Katriana | Katriana | Partial by default Full if implemented | vs_nx0katrf.ssf | vs_nx0katrf | Katriana the camp mistress. Lines 50 through 79. Only 50 to 69 are used and in the TLK file so 9 are unused. Voiceset is partial on the SSF but can be made to be a full voiceset easily enough (would be good for PCs). Looks like it might also have the full voicelines in the TLK file too. See lines around 76064. The voicelines 70 to 79 look like they are for a caravan to Miyeritar? (or something like it "Mar-ya-tar") Including pay? Bit confusing. This implies some significantly cut content though. May have also been captured with lines ending in 79 and can be released. A bit confusing though. |
| Archmage Leomund | Wizard | Noted as partial/NPC only in toolset Really Full | vs_nx0leomm.ssf | vs_nx0leomm | This Leomund?! https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Leomund Has a likely portrait unused in the campaign. Alas no TLK lines referencing the man. It suggests he's a planar traveller so could fit in sort of anywhere.. His 54 voiceline suggests it's actually the interlude. He lets someone - presumably Garrick - know about where the "Lair of Belpharon" is. His work "here is much too important" so is somewhere inspecting something. Alternatively it leads into the Belpheron's Constructs to find some item or other. Mentions the item "Thermolabe" or similar (frankly can't place the name, voice line 53) and looks at a "shard" and mentions knowing Drogan. Infamously this voiceset is marked as Human, Male, Blackguard! It's also really a full one that can be used for PCs or Henchmen. |
| Malthia Drammar | Malthia_Drammar | Noted as partial/NPC only in toolset Really Full | vs_nx0maltf.ssf | vs_nx0maltfxxx | Voiceset is "Elf, Female, Noble" suggesting they were an elf. Matches a portrait quite accurately see below. "Oh no, Father" suggests Corith is her father of course. He is apparently captured/held somewhere. Must be in Chapter 2. "Shadowvar" (or something) mentioned to run from. May be to do with the Winds race. Takes something for safekeeping. Has a full voiceset. Suggested to be a Mage instead of a Cleric with some of her voicelines. Could merit being a temporary companion given the full voiceset. |
| Mischa Waymeet | Mischa_Waymeet | Partial But SSF can be expanded to full | vs_nx0mishf.ssf | vs_nx0mishf | Mischa Waymeet - more details there since she's ideal to reimplement. |
| Tymofarrar the White Dragon | Not in soundset.2da! | Partial - but isn't in soundset.2da! | vs_nx0tymom.ssf | vs_nx0tymom | Need to reimplement into soundset into the game of course! Voiced lines 50 through 61 which all seem used. |
| Uppsala | Uppsala | Partial | vs_nx0uppsf.ssf | vs_nx0uppsf | Is why a Female Ice Giant was added to the game. "My Fortress". Chapter 1 most likely. Looking for an amulet from a "Meiser". Note there is a single leftover refrence to "uppsala" in the modules and that's for "UppsalasMark" item in xp1_checkupmark in chapter 1 of course. Going on a "Barrow Raid" for an Axe. Helps against Tymofarrar if you do her tasks. I wonder if the items were hers and they were stolen from her (by J'Nar? it implies if you talk to her first, she sends you to kill her for something) Looks like it could be implemented. Her portrait suggests being in a human village. Could use a tweaked model - the Frost Giant, Female is obviously her but with a helmet and slightly different legs. c_gntuppsala.dds texture (used on the frost giant female model) suggests it could get some more chainmail. Or just use the frost giant female as is, it's not that bad. |

Malthia Drammar vs_

nx0maltf
Corith is her father and presumably a questgiver to go save him (unless you find him before her).
Voiceset is renamed "Elf, Female, Noble" suggesting they were an elf. Matches a portrait quite accurately see below. 50 - 67 voicelines so quite a few.
May be to do with the Winds race. Takes something for safekeeping.
Has a full voiceset. Suggested to be a Mage instead of a Cleric with some of her voicelines. The full soundset could mean they're a temporary (or permanent) companion.
The plot outline for Malthia and Corith could be:
- You find Malthia
- You rescue (or don't, quest ends/Malthia attacks) Corith
- You get involved in the Winds race and they help
- Possibly involved in a rather bigget fight to stop Heudrolis getting to a particular wind - certainly can teleport or similar to get ahead of her in one case

Deekin, Dorna, Drogan
These three have all their voicelines used, nothing seems to reference the four winds.
Belpheron's Construct vs_nx0headm
A set of golems created by Belpheron (who is the mentor of Heurodis, and also makes a cameo attacking the player in Cania in HotU). According to voicelines and the naming of the voiceset they are only heads. There are 3 of them and it seems you were meant to defeat (or in one instance let them go to sleep). Due to the same voiceline for all 3 heads, it could easily be made so that they all can be encountered in any order.
It suggests they were mere heads but presumably had some power to reform and/or attack the player by implication of them defending themselves. There's no specific new model in SoU for golems mind you. In this case having a hovering golem head might be quite a fun way of doing it - a massive head from what would have been a crazy big golem.
There also is no obvious area they'd be in - but it could have been some offshoot of the main area as either harder content with a mighty treasure reward (and some more info on Heurodis' plans) or even a potentially necessary step given Drogan mentions Belpheron directly.
These constructs would be from the Interlude inside of Anauroch due to mentioning it directly and Drogans lines.
- Note: There is a Shield Golem there, and they guard a corpse which was a modified Lich (so has the same description, but the appearance and name is changed to Skeleton) - which suggests a remnant of this idea of sorts.
The toolset name of the soundset "Lich, Mage" is off - it should have been "Belpheron's Construct" since the voicelines do refer to repairing and Belpheron in the third person - odd how it was named that way.
Drogan references Belpheron in the interlude:
82885 Our enemy is a powerful sorceress by the name of Heurodis.
Power beyond any magic practiced since the Empire's fall.
| pick | This mechanical device doesn't merit the energy of a knock spell. One of you deal with it. | Lock picking line suggests Knock spell thus a sorcerer or wizard. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_050 | Who are you? I warn you if you are one of the servents of that lich. | The Lich is Heudrolis at this point since she's an now-undead spellcaster (and line 60 mentions her pretty explicitly), | |
| vs_nx0maltf_051 | I am Malthia Drammar, servant of Mystra. | ||
| vs_nx0maltf_052 | Mystra protect us! What is that? | Not sure what "that" is referring to. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_053 | It is painful to see this once glorious stronghold of magic brought low. | 100% referring to Unrentide. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_054 | Oh no, father! | Either when he's brought back or when they find him. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_055 | These hideous beasts want to murder my father! | Who captured her father? Not too clear. Probably left vague for development purposes. Chapter 2 is full of undead mainly, so not sure they'd be "hideous beasts". The snake-people might be but there is nothing referring to them capturing anyone. Possibly some other monster added in XP1. It is most likely the Shadovar as per below - which lines up with shades. Still not that beastly but could work. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_056 | Betrayer! I thought you were going to save my father. | Presumably you could betray and no save Corith. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_057 | I don't understand how this can be possible. | Ambient line probably. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_058 | Just imagine, all the legandary mages of Unrentide must have studied here once. | Ambient line probably. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_059 | Oh no, the Shadovar! We must get out of here. | https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Shadovar - this explains the amount of shades/shadow creatures that even exist in the final module. Having some named ones and some ghostly plane of shadows style monsters which are humanoid might help. They can then also actually speak and respond. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_060 | That evil lich has come throug here! We must stop her from corrupting the magic of this city. | ||
| vs_nx0maltf_061 | My art has given us a small lead. We are here before that vile lich. We should hurry to the summit and prepare for her arrival. | Either leads to the traps Heurodis mentions in her lines, or just ambush her and she attacks at a disadvantage. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_062 | I must speak with you at once. | Ambient line and/or henchman come talk to me line. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_063 | What do you want? | Emphasis on "you" so probably not as a henchman or friendly person, or is talkin with another henchman | |
| vs_nx0maltf_064 | *sigh* How may I assist you? | Probably intro to henchmen dialogue. | |
| vs_nx0maltf_065 | Ah! I don't think you properly appreciate the sacrifices I am making to help you! | Not sure the context for this one. Something she's giving up to stop the lich? | |
| vs_nx0maltf_066 | That was dreadful. If my fathers contingency spells hadn't protected me who knows what might have happened. | Possibly a follow on from the above. Possibly they get attacked by Heudrolis? Big battle? | |
| vs_nx0maltf_067 | I think perhaps I should take that. For safe keeping. | What is "that"? Something to do with the winds race perhaps, or some quest item possibly. |

Heurodis vs_nx0heurf
She's got a lot of voice lines. A lot. 50 through to 98. However only some of them appear to have references in the TLK file 50 through to 66.
There is a huge amount of cut lines for the final Chapter 2. It was going to be a lot more involved.
Of particular note is the Winds race (the winds being "winds of magic" it seems). This is evidently in Chapter 2:
- Mastery of the North, South, East, West winds (is po_dwind_h.tga related?)
- "Useless Trickster" on the West wind delaying her
- A trap! (076) haha
- Suggests a race with the player to master them, and the player can get there first - to all four in fact - and either gain an advantage over her final boss fight, or she gains an advantage making it harder (Essentially the same thing tbh)
- She summons 4 winds at the end of it to attack the player (pre-boss fight maybe)
- Can kill her and they keep raising from the dead
- Noting that she was transformed into an Undead Medusa wizard at some point between turning the player into stone and these lines - all the cut lines are in her "undead" phase of "life"
There is in the final game the areas "Temple of the Winds" where you race up to see her at the top. Possibly this entire bit was either part of the existing level design (her just teleporting around being annoying or somesuch) or it was basically all cut for time and the areas we got were not what was intended.

| vs_nx0csskf_060 | Those who once dwelled here named this city Unrentide. | Chapter 2 reference. | |
| vs_nx0csskf_061 | To claim the tower, a master of the four winds you must become. | Same references as Corith says. | |
| vs_nx0csskf_062 | I see you have won great glory in battle. | Presumably have got the four winds by now? |
With Belpheron's knowledge, Heurodis is more than capable of attaining this goal.

| vs_nx0headm_050 | Who dares disturb that which was once mighty? | Introduction line | |
| vs_nx0headm_051 | I was once one of the three mighty golems created by the great mage Belpheron. We were feared by all who inhabited this desert. | Explaination of who they are | |
| vs_nx0headm_052 | After the death of our master, we lacked purpose. The people of the desert retaliated against us, rose up, and destroyed our bodies. | ||
| vs_nx0headm_053 | They left our heads intact so that we might serve as warning against any others who would try and rule the wastes of Anauroch. | Possibly this golem was just a head then! | |
| vs_nx0headm_054 | Impossible! I will not defy my masters final commands. | Likely being asked to do something by the player like open a doorway to some treasure. | |
| vs_nx0headm_055 | See a fraction of the power I once held. | He's evidently not happy. | |
| vs_nx0headm_056 | I sensed the destruction of one of the three. I assume you are the destroyer. | 2nd head. | |
| vs_nx0headm_057 | Then you come for me as well. So be it. | Fight erupts presumably! | |
| vs_nx0headm_058 | Then let us begin. | Fight erupts presumably! | |

Possibly this entire bit was either part of the existing level design (her just teleporting around being annoying or somesuch) or it was basically all cut for time and the areas we got were not what was intended.

| vs_nx0heur2_067 | 40287 | Tell me that you have the orb in hand, J'nah! I grow impatient. | Disguised in Chapter 1 cutscene with J'nah. |
| vs_nx0heur2_068 | 40289 | He was your ally! Your incompetence is beginning to make me doubt the usefulness of our friendship. | |
| vs_nx0heur2_069 | 40291 | One more mistake J'nah, and your life will be shorter than a candle flame in a windstorm. | |

| vs_nx0heurf_050 | 76022 | If you could only sssee what I sssee, old friend... I am joined with the mythal now! Who needsss earthly eyesss when one can sssee with the sssoul of the world! | This is from her last conversation before the big boss fight. |
| vs_nx0heurf_051 | 76023 | I can see all the vassstness of the Anauroch. To the wessst, a Formian queen isss laying an egg that will become her only daughter. To the eassst, the tent of an old Bedine man is buried beneath a sssandssstorm... | |

| vs_nx0heurf_056 | 76028 | With the mythal'sss power, no harm can come to me. Let usss ssspar for old time'sss sssake, then, atop thissss city as it flies. Thisss time I will turn you to ash, not to ssstone! | |
| vs_nx0heurf_057 | 76029 | Fool! Without the mythal, the city will fall! | Ending line |
| vs_nx0heurf_058 | 76030 | Ah. You have come to join me at last. | From the interlude ending where she turns the PC into a statue and gets on with being evil |
| vs_nx0heurf_059 | 76031 | Not the dwarven mage, Drogan, as I was expecting... but I see you'll do nicely. Tell me... do you have a name? | |
| vs_nx0heurf_060 | 76032 | As you already know, I am Heurodis... daughter of the medusae and sorceress supreme. I welcome you to my new realm: the flying city of Undrentide. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_061 | 76033 | Of course... Undrentide flies no longer. It crashed to the earth long, long ago when all the other flying cities of Netheril did the same... though Undrentide fared better than most. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_062 | 76034 | Be that as it may, Undrentide is buried deep under ages of sand and quite lifeless. It requires the power of ancient Netheril in order to rise once again... | |
| vs_nx0heurf_063 | 76035 | ...power that you have brought to me in the form of the mythallar. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_064 | 76036 | Oh, I sensed that it was nearby. I had hoped that my rather public display back at the portal ruin would bring it to me... and here you are. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_065 | 76037 | Now Undrentide shall rise again! And all the power of ancient Netheril that lies within it is mine! All of Faerun shall hear my name and fear me! | |
| vs_nx0heurf_066 | 76038 | And you... you, my petrified subject... you shall have the honor of being the first monument to my victory. You shall get to watch it all! Ha ha ha! | |
| vs_nx0heurf_067 | Mastery of the north wind is mine at lastss! | Start of the unused lines. Note these all do sound like she's got the undead power at this point, so not sure when she got that. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_068 | The South Wind has fallen before me, as all my enemies shall! | ||
| vs_nx0heurf_069 | At last, the East Wind has bowed before me! | ||
| vs_nx0heurf_070 | Useless trickster! Yet even your wiles have not stopped me obtaining mastery of the West Wind. | Who is the trickster? The PC or some accomplice? | |
| vs_nx0heurf_071 | The final mastery is mine. | Likely a cutscene line when they have all the masteries first. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_072 | Sssoon this citadel will serve at my command. | ||
| vs_nx0heurf_073 | You are too late, miserable fool! Unrentide and all its power will finally be mine. | ||
| vs_nx0heurf_074 | I thought I might find you here, interfering again. | ||
| vs_nx0heurf_075 | You may have obtained mastery of the four winds first, but the final victory shall be mine! | Implies that you can obtain mastery first of them all. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_076 | Ahhhhhhhhggg! A trap! I will flay you alive for this trick, vermin! | A trap at one of the winds presumably to stop her. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_077 | It will not save your miserable life. | Carry on of the above. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_078 | Wayroad, Eastlich, Canon, Fordon. | Guessing the words here but basically sounds like a big spell. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_079 | My servants will teach you the meaning of pain, while I claim the city for my own. | Start of the race? Servants are likely all the undead that are spammed at the player in the Temple of the Winds currently. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_080 | You will wish you remained a statue when I am through with you! | Great line haha. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_081 | First, to place the mythallar. | Cutscene perhaps. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_082 | Sconon. Helic. Gaelic. Trynon. | Guessing the words here but basically sounds like a big spell. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_083 | And now to summon the Winds! | Either start of the race or the end and her summoning the winds for herself...? | |
| vs_nx0heurf_084 | Boros. Ulus. Natus. Zhephis. By the mythallars power I summon you all. | The "winds" you'll face are actual creatures or elementals? Names are kinda guessed. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_085 | Let Unrentide arise again! | ||
| vs_nx0heurf_086 | And now to destroy you for once and for all! | Boss fight start. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_087 | Did you really think you could slay me so easily? | Implies ressurection. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_088 | Fool! Life unending is mine! You can never slay me! | Implies ressurection. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_089 | You may kill me a thousand time and still I will rise anew! | Implies ressurection. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_090 | Hahahaha! | Ghostly undead laugh, likely combined with some other lines. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_091 | Hehehehahaha! | Ghostly undead laugh, likely combined with some other lines. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_092 | Hahahahahahahaha! | Ghostly undead laugh, likely combined with some other lines. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_093 | Hehehehe! Thus fall all who oppose me! | Victory line, possibly not just defeating the PC but some other creature. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_094 | This fate awaits all who defy me! | Victory line, possibly not just defeating the PC but some other creature. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_095 | None may stand before me! | Victory line, possibly not just defeating the PC but some other creature. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_096 | No! You miserable wretch! What have you done, my mythallar! Ahhhgggg! | This might be used in the game, certainly should be the final lines said if not. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_097 | No, no, I cannot be defeated, I cannot! | This might be used in the game, certainly should be the final lines said if not. | |
| vs_nx0heurf_098 | Agggghhhhh! | This might be used in the game, certainly should be the final lines said if not. |
J'Nah vs_nx0jnahf and vs_nx0jnah2
J'Nah controls the Gnolls, and obviously just betrays you, no other options in the voicelines alas, but it does imply Chapter 1 was always the most complete of the 3 and contains fewer cuts.

| vs_nx0jnah2_057 | 40288 | The betrayal of our ally has left me in an awkward position. My gnolls were... | Cutscene with "hooded figure" ie Heurodis |
| vs_nx0jnah2_058 | 40290 | Even now my gnolls are searching for the kobolds who... | |
| vs_nx0jnah2_059 | 40294 | Let us find out who dares to trespass in my lair. | End of cutscene |
| vs_nx0jnahf_050 | 72867 | Cunning enough to evade my traps; strong enough to defeat my guards; this should be interesting indeed. Must I now contend with a new enemy, stranger? | These are used in her conversations and before she of course betrays you. |
| vs_nx0jnahf_051 | 72868 | With all of the skills you must possess to have gained entrance to my lair, it would be a shame to slaughter you. Perhaps we could even become friends. Come; tell me who you are. | |
| vs_nx0jnahf_052 | 72913 | Excellent. Here is the phylactery; remember not to break it until you are in the same cave as the dragon. | |
| vs_nx0jnahf_053 | 72914 | I do not expect to see you again until you have the tower, so if there is anything else, you should ask them now. | |
| vs_nx0jnahf_054 | 72993 | You have returned. Do you bring the tower with you? | |
| vs_nx0jnahf_055 | 73002 | Oh dear, I hate to tell you this, but I am afraid my plans have changed, now that Tymofarrar is dead. I cannot just allow you to walk out of here and tell others about me. | |
| vs_nx0jnahf_056 | 73003 | No, I think that your life is about to come to a sudden and very tragic ending. Goodbye, sweet fool. |
Katriana vs_nx0katrf
Katriana the camp mistress.
It seems:
- There was an additional stop after getting Garrick which was a caravansary (trade post)
- You left the caravan at this point
- You'd probably still have ended up finding Heurodis who turns you to stone, but it wouldn't be just a hop skip and a jump after by teleportation.
- At the caravansary you see/hear her getting captured (or are actively involved somehow?) and can rescue her
May have also been captured with lines ending in 79 and can be released. A bit confusing though.

| vs_nx0katrf_055 | 71199 | We don't tend to look much to others for help, but... thank you kindly. I appreciate what you did for Daschnaya. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_056 | 71200 | Look... I don't know if you're looking for some payment, but I didn't ask you to heal anyone. We can make do on our own. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_057 | 71212 | I understand you're to join us when we cross the desert. We're about to start preparing for the trip... are you ready to go? | |
| vs_nx0katrf_058 | 71214 | Excellent. I assume you won't object to helping us load up one of the wagons? Let's hop to it. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_059 | 76039 | I think this spot's going to have to do for the night. Let's set up camp... and make sure it's secure this time, Torias. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_060 | 75968 | Damn! Damn! Damn!! Where is Zidan? Have you seen him?! | |
| vs_nx0katrf_061 | 76040 | Any news? Have you found Zidan or not? | |
| vs_nx0katrf_062 | 76041 | Ah-ha! There you are, Zidan! You're a sight for sore eyes... I was beginning to think we'd have to wander back to Blacksands before long. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_063 | 76042 | So... are you ready to move on? No point in getting sand in our boots, you know. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_064 | 76043 or 80900 | We could be in some trouble, friend. The oxen have gone through the water rations much faster than expected. There is an oasis near here, but we have had some trouble with the tribe that guards it. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_065 | 76044 or 80901 | You have a way of dealing with problems that I seem to lack. If you could just go and talk to the Bedine, maybe they would allow us to restock our water supplies. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_066 | 76045 or 80866 | I see you have returned. Have you gotten permission to take their water? | |
| vs_nx0katrf_067 | 76046 | Well, we finally got here. I want to thank you for all your help. I know that I was a bit hard on you at times... we probably wouldn't have made it this time without you. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_068 | 76047 | You will probably be wanting to hire a guide to take you to the dig site where your Garrick fellow went. It's a little ways into the desert, I understand, and only the locals really know the way. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_069 | 76048 | I am sure one of the Ao worshippers will be willing to take you. They're a fairly agreeable bunch, if a bit daft. Is there anything else you want before you leave? | |
| vs_nx0katrf_070 | Hey there, we finally stumbled upon a place that resembles civilisation! We should be doing some good business here. Of course our next stop will look like Waterdeep compared to this, but this will do for now. | Doesn't mention a place name. Interesting these are numbered after the Garrick one which was the last one in the current Interlude. Therefore finding Garrick was the middle stop not the final one. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_071 | Hello again! How are you finding the caravansary? | A caravansary is a trade stop in a desert area; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caravanserai | |
| vs_nx0katrf_072 | Oh, hello, haven't set off yet then? | ||
| vs_nx0katrf_073 | Do you then? Can't say I'm surpriised. From the first time we met up I figured you were on some bigger quest. So where are you heading? | Suggests this caravansary is the last place you see Katriana. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_074 | Woah tiger! I couldn't give you that pay now if I wanted to, which I don't. We don't cash out until Mahatah so there's no gold to give you. Besides I'm doing you the favour here, get it? | Spelling might not be correct need to figure out what location this is actually referencing. Might be Miyeritar but that's a lost place - https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Miyeritar | |
| vs_nx0katrf_075 | As my dear mother used to say, tough cookies! See you at Mahatah. | Left on bad terms I guess. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_076 | Stupid girl... when I get hands on... | Presumably when being captured. Cutscene voiceline most likely. Being put to sleep or poisoned...? | |
| vs_nx0katrf_077 | Any...luck? | Perhaps poisoned or similar. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_078 | Can't...girl... | Not sure context of this but I guess "just rescued but won't follow until a girl is also saved" sort of thing. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_079 | Whew. Thanks for getting us out of that one. I thought I would be rattling chains in the desert for all eternity. | Certainly the end to the "captured into slavery" questline. | |
| vs_nx0katrf_attk | 76267 | Lay them low! Attack! | + |
| vs_nx0katrf_bat1 | 76268 | Mess with me, will you? | |
| vs_nx0katrf_bat2 | 76269 | That's it - you're dead! | |
| vs_nx0katrf_bat3 | 76270 | ||
| vs_nx0katrf_heal | 76271 | I could use some healing here! | |
| vs_nx0katrf_help | 76272 | Give me some back-up, damn it! | |

Leomund vs_nx0leomm
This Leomund?! https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Leomund (and yes it probably is!)
Has a likely portrait unused in the campaign since it was included in SoU and looks very NPC-like (hu_m_36_).
Alas no TLK lines referencing the man. It suggests he's a planar traveller so could fit in sort of anywhere.
The cut content probably fits in Interlude:
- He's found in Mordenkain's Magnificent Mansion or at least a portal to it (or coming out of it in a cutscene might be fun)
- He's researching Balpheron's ruins and/or trying to find his lair (or will help the PC do so since their goals match)
- IMO to show off he's a real archmage either you are seeing him in his mansion (and so he doesn't do legwork defeating monsters) or he has to open some door or magical protection seal and can't enter without being then trapped (because the seal would reform and he can't open it from inside). Either might work for hm.
- Might tie into the Belpheron's heads as enemies.
- Once finished he might well give some information about the mythallar shard you have with you
- I guess easiest thing is once the research is complete (ie he's got enough from Belhperon's place) he exits stage left before the whole thing goes upside down ("Why didn'y the archmage just kill Heurdolis" kinda thing).

| vs_nx0leomm_050 | Mordenkains magnificant mansion my rosy red...Oh heh-heh hello! I'm the Archmage Leomund. I guess you're here to bother me about something. You have the look of an adventurer... | Great starting joke and sets where he is. | |
| vs_nx0leomm_051 | Greetings. You've reconsidered then? | If the quest isn't accepted. | |
| vs_nx0leomm_052 | How fare you? | If the quest is accepted. | |
| vs_nx0leomm_053 | I promise that the Themolabe will guide you through. May the gods favour your journey. | Presumably about the quest as an ending voiceline. A "Themolabe" or "Tharmolabe"? Possibly meaning "magic finding dohicky" but really could do with the real name to see if it matches up with some D&D lore somehow. I did find this as a guess on this: http://arcana.wikidot.com/astrolabe | |
| vs_nx0leomm_054 | Oh, greetings. I'm afraid if you are looking for me to help you find the liar of Belpheron, a compatriat of yours already had me take care of that. I guess you will just have to learn to share. | Presumably if the non-main character PC speaks with him after the quest is over? Could technically imply some 3rd force involved but unlikely. | |
| vs_nx0leomm_055 | Hmm. Well, I'm not jeweler. Take it to someone with free time on their hands. I'm afraid my work here is much too important. | Presumably showing them the mythallar gemstone you have in the interlude, but he's busy (ie you've not finished his quest) | |
| vs_nx0leomm_056 | Hmm. Let me see that. Yes, I've heard of your mentor. Alright I will take a look at this shard. Where did you say it came from? | Presumably after fiinishing the quest you can ask this. | |
| vs_nx0leomm_057 | Ah, the little bully returns. Here to make more idle threats, bully? | Presumably if you annoy him. | |
| voceiset | The voiceset lines are pretty generic. But it is full. |
Mischa Waymeet
See Overhaul Mischa Waymeet. She's basically a proper henchman and has her own quest.
Tymofarrar vs_nx0tymom
This is J'dah's "ally" who betrays her. No extra voicelines so looks pretty complete but wonder how he'd interact with Uppsala. Anyway just needs voiceset properly adding.
Uppsala vs_nx0uppsf
Is why a Female Ice Giant was added to the game. Is in their own fortress. Chapter 1 most likely since she's not in a desert after all. Looks like their ssf file (vs_nx0uppsf.ssf) is named "Half-Orc, Female, Baroness", even though it mentions Jotunheim which is a giant thing.
Note there is a single leftover refrence to "uppsala" in the modules and that's for "UppsalasMark" item in xp1_checkupmark.nss in chapter 1 of course. So someone added a conversation to check for this item but later removed it.
Quests it seems:
- 3 way involvement with Tymofarrar and J'Nar it seems (1 item each?) mentions J'Nar kind of in line 60.
- Obviously could be just defeated for stuff
- 2 Quests given out:
- Looking for an amulet from a "ink stained little meiser"
- Getting an axe from a barrow
- Then presumably can help fight Tymofarrar
Going on a "Barrow Raid" for an Axe.
Helps against Tymofarrar if you do her tasks. I wonder if the items were hers and they were stolen from her (by J'Nar? it implies if you talk to her first, she sends you to kill her for something)
Looks like it could be implemented. Her portrait suggests being in a human village.
Could use a tweaked model - the Frost Giant, Female is obviously her but with a helmet and slightly different legs. c_gntuppsala.dds texture (used on the frost giant female model) suggests it could get some more chainmail. Or just use the frost giant female as is, it's not that bad.

| vs_nx0uppsf_050 | Who are you to enter my fortress unannounced? | Introduction greeting. | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_051 | Ahh it is you again little one. Why do you bother me now? | Second start of conversation if not accepted quest | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_052 | You have returned. Have you brought that amulet from that ink stained little meiser? | Who's the meiser? | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_053 | I have no task for you at the moment, what it is you want? | Completed quest start of conversation | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_054 | There you are, was your barrow raid successful? Do you have the axe? | Second quest mentioned. Getting an axe from a barrow. | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_055 | I am ready. When you next face the dragon, I shall be there. | Obviously to fight Tymofarrar. | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_056 | You have served me well, but I have no further tasks for you. | End of "completed the quests" dialogue I guess. | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_057 | And what business do you have with me? | Another introduction line? Could be when you've killed Tymofarrar? | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_058 | You call me a thief little one? You are indeed foolish. What is it you claim I've taken from you? | Hmm not sure what she'd steal, either from Drogan or you. Perhaps has one of Drogans items? | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_059 | We shall see if you can exit so easily. State your business quickly I have little patience. | Angry about the conversation. | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_060 | Then you have found her, though be warned, I have little patience for uninvited guests. State your business interloper. | Referring to J'nar perhaps. | |
| vs_nx0uppsf_061 | Urgh. I would only be too happy to be rid of you. | If really annoyed. |
Xanos Messarmos
Has one additional line not in the TLK file related to the Winds quest. Seems henchmen were going to say something about it as well
...
Likely a cutscene line when they have all the masteries first.
