This guide shows you how to install free open source ComfyUI portable with Hunyuan3D-2 on your local windows PC. Game ready placeables, creature or tileset parts can be generated from 2d image or text very fast producing a 3d model and 3d model with UV texture painted. The AI guesses what the 3d shape and what the unseen texture behind looks like. (check out the gorilla 2d picture white background and 3d model in blender screenshots)
To generate a model with texture takes about 1 min to 3 mins depending on the quality setting and your pc hardware with Nvidia graphics card. If you dont have Nvidia card then you can use CPU but it will be slow or try the online service.
If you cant install locally then you can also try a free online service to generate 3d models from 2d image or text prompt using the same Hunyuan3D-2 AI model generator. Via this online tool called huggingface space that hosts the AI model: https://huggingface.co/spaces/tencent/Hunyuan3D-2 The faces count is fixed at 50k for huggingface generato the results can be very good but not as controlable or best results and free as ComfyUI local install.
Tip: Look for and use the advanced section to open the online model generation settings but they are simple compared to Comfyui.
