Potential Changes
Not many here, most of the class is hardcoded, but:
- Make sure all weapons are added to their special feat list if any new ones are added
- If better feat selection system is added we can make it so Weapon of Choice cannot be chosen a second time (at Epic levels)
Note the feat Devastating critical is...pretty damn powerful especially in a Weapon Master build, but the use is hardcoded. Leave for now but consider something later perhaps.
Need to decide if extending class skills:
- Shadowdancer and weapon master are the only classes lacking the generic class skills craft weapon, craft trap, craft armor as well as concentration and parry (all are cross-class skills).
Overhaul Description
(PRESTIGE CLASS) For the weapon master, perfection is found in the mastery of a single melee weapon. A weapon master seeks to unite this weapon of choice with his body, to make them one, and to use the weapon as naturally and without thought as any other limb. - Hit Die: d10. - Proficiencies: A weapon master does not gain any additional weapon or armor proficiencies. - Skill Points: 2 + Int Modifier. - Class Skills: Discipline, Heal, Intimidate, Listen, Lore, Spot. - Primary saving throw(s): Reflex. - Base attack bonus: High (+1 per level). REQUIREMENTS: Base Attack Bonus: +5 Feats: Weapon Focus in a melee weapon, Dodge, Mobility, Expertise, Spring Attack and Whirlwind Attack. Skills: Intimidate 4 or more ranks. ABILITIES: Level 1: Weapon of Choice - One is chosen and there-after all Weapon Master special abilities will only work while that type of weapon in equipped. Ki Damage - Once per day per level maximum damage is dealt. 5: Increase Multiplier - Add 1x to weapon critical damage multiplier (i.e. 2x becomes 3x, 3x becomes 4x, etc.). Superior Weapon Focus - Add +1 to attacks with weapon of choice. 7: Ki Critical - Add +2 to weapon of choice threat range. EPIC LEVELS: Your bond with your weapon of choice becomes stronger and devastatingly effective as you become the epic weapon master. Hit Die: d10. Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 2 + Int Modifier. Bonus Feats: The epic weapon master gains a bonus feat every three levels Special: Superior Weapon Focus: For every three levels after 10th an additional +1 bonus to attack is granted to the Weapon of Choice. Epic Weapon Master Bonus Feats List: Armor Skin, Blinding Speed, Epic Damage Reduction, Devastating Critical, Epic Toughness, Epic Prowess, Epic Weapon Focus, Improved Whirlwind Attack, Overwhelming Critical, Superior Initiative.
