The hardcoded GUI of Neverwinter Nights is a mixture of engine-level hardcoded stuff (eg; layouts, interactions, what tlk strings are used), graphical files (.tga usually) and a number of GUI files that usually are not worth touching.

With later versions of NWN:EE you can now pop up new panels with Nui, making much more flexible things for the modern NWN module.
